Meant Well Books has put a permanent address alongside its mobile operation, opening a shop at 2534 Estevan Avenue in Oak Bay’s Estevan Village.

The business says the doors opened on the first weekend of October. Its first-month visiting hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to its current Find Us page.

From a mobile business to a neighbourhood shop

The bookseller began in June 2025 as a mother-and-daughter book-truck operation. Its own account describes a business that grew through markets, neighbourhood stops, partnerships and reading gatherings.

It later added a scooter for smaller pop-ups and local deliveries. The storefront gives the business a fixed place for customers to visit alongside those mobile activities.

The shop’s FAQ describes a mix of new fiction, nonfiction and children’s books, with a small selection of gifts. It says much of the inventory can also be browsed online.

Check the current hours before visiting

The business describes the October schedule as a gradual opening, with more days and hours to follow. Visitors should use the Find Us page and the business’s Instagram for current hours and last-minute changes.

The mobile schedule is seasonal: the business says its truck and scooter appearances slow during rainy weather. A permanent shop opening should not be taken to mean every previous outdoor stop is continuing through the fall.

An event space as well as a place to browse

An organizer’s listing for an October 17 after-hours book-and-wine tasting identifies the new shop as its venue. That event is now past; its listing is background on how the space is being used, not an invitation to book a future session.

This report draws on the business’s published information and the event organizer’s listing, reviewed October 23. The shop opened earlier this month, not today. Hours and future events should be reconfirmed through the original sources.
