Kingsview childcare project names its next trade contractors
North Cowichan’s August council report identifies mechanical, electrical, millwork, siding and landscaping awards for the 158-space centre.
North Cowichan has named several contractors for its Kingsview childcare centre. The municipality’s August 26 account of the August 19 council meeting records trade awards on the $18-million, 158-space project, funded by federal and provincial grants.
MGM Mechanical received the mechanical award at $1,459,280. Capital Electrical Systems was named for electrical work at $669,254, and Milestone Equipment Contracting for landscaping at $1,094,486.79. The same report identifies Trestle Millwork for architectural woodwork and Westwell Construction for cementitious siding, alongside an award to Rumpel Construction.
These are reported contract awards, not invitations to bid. The announcement is useful for understanding which firms are attached to the project; it does not establish that those firms are seeking subcontractors or hiring today.
For neighbouring businesses and residents, the municipality’s project page is the place to check subsequent schedule and site updates.
