K’awat’si Construction Company reports receiving a 2026 Vancouver Island Building Industry award for the Tsulquate Big House project. The company identifies the recognition as Best Prime Contractor Project in the $10-million to $25-million category.
The contractor is owned by the Gwa’sala-’Nakwaxda’xw Nations. Its website records the Big House opening on June 15 and carries June 2026 news about the project and award. A project-team account on the site places construction completion in November 2025.
